Chief Publishing Officer, American Physiological Society (APS)
Colette Bean is Chief Publishing Officer at the American Physiological Society (APS) overseeing its family of journals and their newest open access journal launch, Function. Colette joined APS in 2019 and has been focused on introducing new products and services to prepare the organization for an open access future. Colette currently sits on the STM Board. She is also a member of the CLOCKSS Board of Directors and a member of the American College of Physicians Publications Committee. Prior to APS, Colette worked at Wiley where she most recently served as VP and Society Publishing Director in the U.S overseeing the management of 350+ society-owned life sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences and humanities journals. She also previously served as Chair of the Executive Committee of the PSP Division at AAP.
