Steven Inchcoombe is President, Research at Springer Nature. Previously he was Chief Publishing Officer and before that he was CEO at Nature Publishing Group and Palgrave Macmillan. Steven is committed to serving researchers and the wider research ecosystem. He has led the company’s publishing, editorial, products and platforms for many years and is now focused on enabling the company to play a key role in transitioning to a more efficient and impactful research system that uses open techniques to improve outcomes, integrity and assessment of researchers and their supporting organizations. Steven was awarded a scholarship to Merton College, Oxford, where he read Physics specializing in atomic and solid-state physics and qualified as a chartered accountant with PWC in 1990.
