We can see AI now playing roles once served by humans, as AI tools are “reading” websites, “authoring” papers, and “reviewing” manuscripts. Are scholarly communications professionals prepared to access AI bots as our “users”? Are there aspects of reading, authoring, and reviewing that we should accept or even encourage? And which aspects should we avoid, which remain the exclusive domain of human users? In this session, the Silverchair and ScholarOne leadership teams will share what we've learned in the first six months of our integration, and where we're planning to take the ScholarOne workflows. Built on a foundation of Silverchair's service-oriented culture and robust partnerships with the publisher community, the future of ScholarOne will be marked by greater flexibility, collaboration and investment into solutions for everything from research integrity to improving standards and accelerating time to publish.
