Christine Turner (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6807-3367), Scholarly Communication Librarian at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Libraries, works with researchers, educators, students, administrators and publishers to extol and share the benefits of open scholarship. She listens to challenges faculty and students have in sharing their works and advocates for equitable, broad participation in knowledge creation using the campus open access policy, framework for provider agreements, green and diamond open access publishing, open licenses, persistent identifiers, FAIR/CARE data, open pedagogy, expanded research metrics, etc. Christine has been a librarian at UMass Amherst since 1999. Prior to 2018, she served as an electronic resources librarian and as project manager for a state-funded business and economic development digital library. When not yapping about open scholarship, Christine may be found meowing with her cats, whacking a tennis ball, breezing on her bicycle or musing in her garden.
