George Stachokas is the Acting Head of Technical Services, Collections Strategist, and Acquisitions Librarian at Auburn University. Previously, he served as the Electronic Resources Librarian at Auburn University, Head of Resource Services and Special Assistant to the Dean for Project Management at Purdue University, and Electronic Resources Librarian at Indiana State University. George is the author of The Role of the Electronic Resources Librarian (Elsevier, 2019) and After the Book: information Services for the 21st Century (Elsevier, 2014), and editor of the ALCTS Monograph, Reengineering the Library: Issues in Electronic Resources Management (ALA Publishing, 2018). George holds an MLIS degree from the University of Illinois, an MA in History from Indiana State University, and a BS in Economics from Purdue University.
