Swapna has been in STM publishing for over two decades with experience in managing and developing Wiley’s proprietary and society-owned journals. She is known for forging strong collaborations with many of Wiley’s society partners in the life and physical sciences to assist editors and associations with the strategic growth and development of their publications’ portfolio, including the launch of open access and hybrid journals and other new products. Swapna is also an advocate for improving diversity, equity, and inclusivity in journal publication workflows. As one of the business leads of Wiley’s Research journals DE&I council, she focuses on collaboration with other stakeholders in the industry and on the development of strategy and tools for Wiley’s publishing team to advance DE&I across journals.
