Yuan Li serves as the University Scholarly Communication Officer and Director of Open Scholarship and Research Data Services (OSRDS) at Harvard Library. Leading a dedicated team, Yuan focuses on making Harvard's research accessible worldwide, spanning research data and publications. Her role involves guiding OSRDS in coordinating the implementation of and advising on open-access policies across Harvard schools, pioneering and implementing innovative scholarly publishing models for an open and equitable scholarly communication ecosystem, advocating for and educating best practices in research data management, and supporting the Harvard research community in data sharing and curation. Before joining Harvard, Yuan served as the Scholarly Communications Librarian at Princeton University Library, spearheading and managing PUL’s scholarly communication innovations and reforms. She holds a master’s degree in library science and information studies from University of Rhode Island, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer science from China.
