Max Petzold is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Gothenburg since July 2023. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor is responsible for issues regarding digitalization and knowledge transfer has the overall responsibility for digitalization, open science, ethics, information security, sustainability and internationalization related to research. The assignment includes overall responsibility for development in relation to societal challenges locally, nationally and internationally, as well as chairmanship of the Library Board and the Committee for Ethics in Research, and vice chairmanship of the Research Board.
