Stephanie Orphan is Program Director at arXiv. As a member of the arXiv leadership team, she works with arXiv’s advisory councils, leadership, and staff on planning and priority setting and executing on those plans. She also serves as a liaison between arXiv, its advisors, and the international open access and open infrastructure communities and is responsible for administrative and operational oversight of arXiv’s day-to-day activities. Prior to joining arXiv, Stephanie spent 15 years at Portico working to ensure that born digital scholarly content is preserved and remains accessible for the long term. She holds an M.S. in library and information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has more than two decades of experience working with academic library and scholarly publishing stakeholders.
