As Director of Publishing at the American Physical Society (APS), Jeff Lewandowski is responsible for developing and driving publishing strategy, with a focus on developing high quality publications and solutions that support Open Science. In prior roles at APS, Jeff led global sales and journals marketing, new journal and product launches, and the development of APS’s read and publish program. Prior to joining APS, Jeff was Senior Publisher for the Americas at IOP Publishing, where his focus was business development and management of a portfolio of over 30 publications owned by IOP and other scholarly societies. Jeff earned his BS in biology, with a minor in Mathematics, from the University of Richmond, and his MS in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Maryland. Outside of work Jeff enjoys baseball, cooking, films, music, and spending time with his family and rescue dog.
