About the session

As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes research and publishing, the scholarly community faces a defining question: what kind of knowledge ecosystem are we building for the next generation? This forward-looking session explores the evolution of knowledge dissemination, from the Great Library of Alexandria to the emerging era of Super AGI. It examines how publishers can design workflows, infrastructures, and ethical frameworks that preserve trust while accelerating global access to knowledge.

Drawing on insights from a cross-sector advisory group of publishing and technology leaders, the session introduces AI-generated video concepts that imagine how intelligent systems might visualize, summarize, and actively co-discuss research outputs. These ideas are debated in an interactive, science fiction inspired format, inviting live audience participation.

Key themes include peer review, knowledge translation, identity sovereignty, science diplomacy, and ethical AI design. Attendees will gain practical insight into balancing automation with human judgment, accountability, and the enduring values of scholarly communication.
